Chickenpox attack!!!
|
|
On August 8th,we went back to kampung in Kelantan,to prepare for the coming wedding.A'an have to leave his skool again at least for a week before the real school holidays begin.
To make matters worst is that on Saturday, the 9th...I discovered the red little dots on my kids' body,yup....both of them!Uhuk,uhuk...why now?Why now when your daddy is not here? And why now, when the wedding is approaching?Huhu...
On the very day,I rushed them to a nearby clinic with no ING panel, which means I have to pay...and surprisingly,it costs me RM105 for both! How expensive is that?

I miss my man....:(
|
|
It's been only 4 days and a half since My Nizam has gone back to Switzerland. It feels like ages to me,since i'm the one who have to stay.Feeling so down and blue, and lost too.I wonder why am i having such a bad day,not a bad hair day,but a bad day...everything seems amiss.
Since there is no extra ordinary photos to put in this entry,I just decided that it would be best to put my wedding pictures, plus the fact that I miss my guy terribly!
Daddy,the kids miss you too!(and,mommy misses u even more!)Huhu

My Youngest's Brother Engagement Ceremony
|
|
This engagement took place when I'm already into my first month here in Bern.Felt so bad for not being there with the others but what can I say,it was only the matter of distance,as for heart,my heart's right there in Malaysia, cherishing the moments when my youngest brother is officially betrothed and that my other siblings are there, presenting themselves and what could be more merrier than a family gathering, for all of us,11 siblings, united in one occasion...too bad to say, they are gathering minus two-me and my other brother, the 5th brother, who's currently in Missouri,United States of America.
Well, these are some of the pictures I managed to grab from my eldest sister and youngest brother whilst we were chatting thru YM a few days after the happy moment.
Selamat Bertunang To Adik Hakim & Fieza,Insya Allah,I will be home for your wedding this August....
Note:
Gonna leave u all with this entry,I'm playing hostess for another guest, coming from Amsterdam,my old fren from high school, from June 19th-23rd,I'm gonna get busy...but after that,Insya Allah,I'll be back again with more entries on our tour and the special trip this time is to Jungfraujoch,Top of Europe!!

Exploring Zurich
|
|
| Quote: | Mercer Consulting's annual roundup of the global cities with the best quality of life is here, and Zurich once again comes out on top.
New York, London, and Paris are internationally renowned cities but consultants at Mercer Consulting have picked Zurich, Switzerland, as the best place to live in the company's annual survey.
Consultants rated each city on a variety of factors including the level of traffic congestion, air quality, and personal safety reported by expatriates living in more than 600 cities worldwide. In the top 25, U.S. cities such as San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago were all edged out by Geneva, Switzerland, Vancouver, B.C., and Auckland, New Zealand. The highest-scoring U.S. city is Honolulu, which came in at No. 28.
Still, Mercer acknowledges that cities with a high quality of life are not necessarily the most exciting. "There are a lot of 'sleepy' towns that got high ratings," said Rebecca Powers, a principal consultant in human capital for the company. "But if you were to judge them on something like nightlife, there are some that probably wouldn't have rated as high."
No. 1: Zurich
Switzerland
Mercer score: 108*
2007 rank: No. 1
GDP: $300.9 billion (2007 est.)**
Population: 7,581,520 (total country); 347,517 (total city)
Life expectancy: 80.74 years
* The rankings are based on a point scoring index, with Zurich scoring 108 and Baghdad scoring 13.5. Cities are compared to New York as the base city, with an index score of 100. The quality-of-living survey covers 215 cities and is conducted to help governments and major companies place employees on international assignments. The survey also identifies those cities with the highest personal safety ranking based on internal stability, crime, effectiveness of law enforcement, and relationships with other countries. |
Note:
Zurich does live up to my expectation,it indeed is a wonderful, appropriate to its been voted as the most liveable place in 2008.Despite the hustle bustle city,it still has that warm and welcoming features to foreigners like us people, the shopping streets are so exclusive, all you need to have is full wallet with CHF or euros, and your wish all come true...hahaha
